 Meet the team

A very warm welcome from us. We're Rukia and Louise and we created Msense because we're both passionate about making counselling a really positive and rewarding experience for our clients.

Between us, we bring experience in areas such as bereavement, trauma, work-related stress, anxiety, depression, childhood development, and neurodiversity. But beyond that, we bring genuine care and a deep commitment to ensuring Msense is a space where you feel safe, heard, and empowered to take charge of your story.

As a qualified person-centred counsellor and breathwork coach, I bring a compassionate, grounded, and practical approach to supporting clients through life’s challenges. I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone and seen as a valuable tool to help make life and relationships more manageable and fulfilling.

With experience across both the charity and corporate sectors, I understand how stress, burnout and life’s pressures can impact personal well-being. I’ve worked with individuals navigating grief, trauma, relationship difficulties and rebuilding confidence after abuse.

I take an approach to therapy, drawing on different theories and techniques depending on what feels most helpful for each individual. My breathwork training has deepened my interest in the mind-body connection, and I often integrate somatic and grounding tools to support emotional regulation, if required.

Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or simply space to breathe, I aim to meet you where you are, with warmth, empathy and respect.

After five years of dedication (and plenty of coffee!), I’ve qualified as a level 5 trauma and somatically trained counsellor. This means I pull from a variety of approaches and theories to take a more integrative approach based on your needs. I am passionate about the mind-body connection, which led me to train in somatic therapy.

With a background in the corporate world, I’ve spent over 20 years in HR helping people to learn and develop —a passion that naturally led me to counselling.

I’ve gained invaluable experience through roles at a women’s refuge, a large academy school in Barnet, and the charity Mind in Stevenage. All of these experiences have shaped how I work today.

My approach

I have recently completed a Level 5 Diploma in Somatic-Informed Trauma Therapy, which has deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection. This additional training has enabled me to work with clients in a different way, exploring different approaches to calming our nervous systems and dealing with stress and anxiety in a more holistic way.

I take an integrative, client-led approach and, where appropriate, bring psychoeducation into sessions. This simply means I’ll share tools and insights to help you make sense of your challenges and feel empowered to take control of your mental health.

I believe in supporting people to build the confidence and skills they need to navigate life’s ups and downs—because that’s where real change happens.

What I Offer:

  • A safe, empathetic space to explore life’s complex emotions, feelings, and worries

  • Online or phone sessions for clients who need the flexibility to connect from home

  • Psychoeducation and breathwork techniques to enhance understanding and build resources for your journey
